Having a tutor dedicated to support you with personalized feedback requires high commitment from both sides. Therefore, our Hand-in-Hand programs have limited places, with a maximum of 10 participants per tutor.

Our 3-steps selection process
1. Once you submit your application, our selection team will check your compliance with the eligibility criteria.
2. Once all the requirements have been met, you will be invited to record a 3 minutes video in English, sharing with us your motivation to participate in the program and what results you expect to achieve.
3. We will notify you of the outcome of the selection process within the next 72 hours.
Don’t wait until the last minute! Registrations are closed 1 week before your program starts.

Previous activity in freelance platforms
A freelance profile created in at least 1of the 2 main platforms (Upwork / Freelancer)
(1) A minimum experience is required to build a profile that compensates the lack of track record in the platform with portfolio samples of previous works.
(2) Since the main online freelance work platforms operate in English, it is essential that participants demonstrate communication skills (reading, writing, and conversation) in that language.
(3) Applicants without formal education degrees are welcome as long as a minimum experience of 2 years in any of the expertise areas is demonstrated.

How can I choose the best mode for me?
Our Hand in Hand programs are directed to very specific profiles (check the eligibility criteria).
There is a stringent selection process in place to ensure your practical experience will be as fruitful as possible. If you don’t comply with all the requirements, your best option will be a Flying Solo program.
Note that our programs are specially designed for talents who master skills that don’t require a physical presence to perform their job.
Although all digital talents are welcome to join our Flying Solo programs, we foresee the best chances of success for those who can offer services around the most demanded areas of expertise.
What's the profile of the tutors?
Our diversified group of tutors is formed by highly qualified professionals, experts on the dynamics of online freelancing platforms, experienced in human resources roles (mainly international recruitment and outplacement).
Their goal is to support the Hand in Hand participants through the programs by monitoring their activities and providing close and prompt feedback, ensuring they can complete the program on time, with the expected quality while achieving (and exceeding!) their goals.

Why is it necessary to have at least one year of experience?
Experience is a fundamental factor to get jobs online.
Since we want our participants to have the best return on their investment, our Hand in Hand programs require you to have at least one year of experience, necessary to compensate the lack of track record in the platforms, with portfolio samples of previous works.
Can I apply if I do not have native English?
To participate in our Hand in Hand programs it is not necessary to have native English.
Our Hand in Hand programs require an intermediate to advanced command of reading, writing and speaking in English since the vast majority of projects published on freelance platforms are in that language, hence interactions with potential clients usually occur in English too.
May I still apply if I have no experience in the listed areas of expertise?
We want our participants to have the best return on their investment, so our Hand in Hand programs are focused on highly demanded skills only.
If your area of expertise is related to other digital services and you want to learn how to win remote clients online, we invite you to consider participating in our Flying Solo programs.
I have a profile on a platform different from Upwork and Freelancer.com. Can I still apply to Go-Getter?
You’ll get the most of the Go-Getter and Achiever programs if you are familiar with Upwork or Freelancer.com. Profiles in other platforms could be accepted but the depth of the applicable contents for those platforms would be limited.
To create your profile in Upwork or Freelancer.com with the expert feedback from a tutor, we recommend you enrolling in our Starter program first.

It’ll take you less than 15 minutes to fill your application form and record your video interview. The results of the selection process will be communicated maximum 72h after your application video has been received.

I have been selected for a Hand in Hand program , what do I do now?
With your acceptance confirmation, you’ll receive instructions to process your payment and enrol in the program.
Selected candidates that don’t process the payment before the program starts will join the waiting list for the next edition of the program (approximately 4 months later).
Does Wisar Academy guarantee that I'll find a job?
Finding a job is a process with multiple inputs and outputs that escape a single person’s control.
The tools and methodologies you’ll learn in our programs are proven to boost your chances of success finding clients in online freelancing platforms.
In general, participants of Hand in Hand programs report higher success ratios, provided the intensity of the programs and the close guidance and personalized support they receive from the tutors.
Nonetheless, highly committed participants on the Flying Solo programs can reach great success rates with the right pace and dedication.
